From the very beginning of the event, I was captivated by the beauty of these 12 Metre yachts. Their elegant lines, balanced proportions, and perfectly shaped sails made it almost impossible to put my camera down. I chose this image because several details came together in one moment: Kookaburra II’s sails glowing in the sunlight, a gull passing across the mainsail, and a fellow photographer capturing his own view from a small RIB.
