My passion for sailing began at a children’s sailing camp and soon grew into competitive racing. Around the same time, I started capturing life on the water, first by making sailing videos with a small action camera. Later, when I was able to buy my first proper camera, the sailing club where I raced asked me to photograph one of their regattas. That was where my two passions truly came together. Having experienced yacht racing from the competitor’s perspective, I feel I have a natural understanding of the sport. Its rhythm, tension and the moments when everything comes together. This background helps me anticipate the action and capture the intensity, emotion and excitement of racing from a perspective shaped by years spent on the water.
