Italy and Australia SailGP teams

SailGP

Portsmouth

A very windy weekend welcomed 13 teams to Portsmouth for the second time hosting SailGP. Tight racing and a few near-capsizes brought great excitement for the fans. Marks were set very close to shore, where there were some cracking views of sketchy roundings into the finish. This shot stands out to me because it captures both the conditions and the closeness of the racing, as the Italian and Australian boats battle to round the leeward mark first. Shot from an elevated position, it also gives a clear view of the sailors working hard on both sides of the boat.
