ROCKWOOL Germany Sail Grand Prix in Sassnitz

Sassnitz, Germany

Captured during the ROCKWOOL Germany Sail Grand Prix in Sassnitz, Germany, this image shows DS Automobiles SailGP Team France, helmed by Quentin Delapierre, fighting to prevent a dramatic capsize while racing closely behind ROCKWOOL Racing SailGP Team, helmed by Nicolai Sehested. I chose this photograph because it captures what fascinates me most about SailGP: the incredible speed, unpredictability, and fine line between control and chaos. In a fraction of a second, everything can change. What makes this moment special is the contrast between the two boats, one on the edge of losing control while the other continues racing just metres away. For me, it represents the intensity of yacht racing and the challenge of capturing a decisive moment that can never be repeated.
