Hound drives through a wave under spinnaker during the 2026 Newport–Bermuda Race, with the setting sun illuminating her sail and the spray breaking around her bow. I took this photograph with a drone while racing aboard Hound, capturing from the air the movement and energy we were experiencing on deck. I chose this image because the light and the action come together in a single moment: the spinnaker glows copper, spray rises beside the hull, and a golden reflection crosses the waves. It captures what keeps drawing me back to offshore racing: the physical energy of a boat under sail and the extraordinary beauty surrounding the crew as they race.
