KIEL: Crash between Holcim en Mapei
Two minutes after crossing the starting line of Ocean Race Europe, while sailing side by side close-hauled (heading upwind), Holcim-PRB boat and Allagrande Mapei Racing collided with their side appendages.
Holcim-PRB's port foil tore Mapei's headsail and mainsail, while the latter pierced its competitor's hull with its outrigger.
