About the shot :
For me this image shows the immense power of nature at its rawest and most dramatic and the fragility of the racing yachts. I love the contrast this image captures. Shortly after this was taken the storm arrived with immense, brutal force. One yacht was sunk within seconds while the rest of the fleet had to ride it out before heading back to port.
