Flore Hartout started her journey in sailing dinghies as a child, aged 10. She went on to compete across Europe for the following five years, growing fond of competition. Her love for the ocean led her to study Oceanography, while pausing sailing in order to focus on her studies. During her spare time at Southampton University, she learned by herself and practiced photography and videography around university watersports such as kitesurfing and surfing. She only started her professional journey in 2022 after a documentary filming masters equivalent, with OTOXO Productions in Barcelona. She rediscovered her love for sailing in 2023, working for The Ocean Race video team and has since become an OBR (onboard reporter), having sailed onboard the Ocean race Europe 2025, the final 4 races of the Clipper Round The World Race 2023-2024, the Course des Caps 2025 and more. She now works with Team Malizia as content creator and onboard reporter, with her next goal set on being an onboard reporter for The Ocean Race 2027.
