Moths can reach up to 38 knots flying above the water on foils. I wanted a viewpoint you rarely get from the water, close enough to feel the surface rushing past, and with it the speed and energy these sailors live with on such incredibly light machines. I took the photo on a GoPro Hero 13 in a dome port, mounted on a pole, mainly for safety. The sailor, Hattie Rogers, was travelling around 30 knots in 22 knots of breeze, and passed directly over the camera. A margin that would have been a little close for comfort had I been behind the camera.
