Initially, I wanted to fly my drone, but the sea was far too rough, with water constantly washing over the deck. After waiting hours for a potential weather window, I decided to adapt and use a small camera instead. In the end, this alternative angle delivered a much more surprising and compelling image than a classic aerial shot. Even without a human presence in the frame, it captures the raw truth and intensity of IMOCA sailing in heavy seas.
