Red Watch I took this photo during The Ocean Race Europe, inside the IMOCA cockpit few hours after passing Gibraltar when the wind. The scene is lit only by the deep red glow of the boat. A moment where tension, fatigue, and focus merge. The sailor’s face disappears in the shadows and the spray of the waves, leaving only the gesture, the grip on the helm, the human presence within the machine. I chose this image because it captures the essence of offshore racing: intensity in isolation, light and darkness coexisting, technology and emotion intertwined. It’s not just about steering a boat — it’s about navigating through chaos by night.
