Les Régates Royales de Cannes

Initially I was on a media rib and took lots of good, but 'traditional', photos of sailboat racing. On the last day I only had time for a ride on a public ferry to see the regatta. I was truly surprised how close we got to the action and how excited the ferry passengers were about the sail boats, cheering loudly and taking photos with their phones. There was a lot of emotion in the air. So I put my telephoto lens aside and took this photo - with my phone!
