Now in its 17th year, the Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award once again invites the world's finest marine photographers to showcase the beauty, intensity and emotion of yacht racing. The winners will be announced during a public prize-giving ceremony at the Yacht Racing Forum on 20 November in Amsterdam.
The organisers today unveiled the distinguished panel that will judge this year's competition:
- Martina Orsini (ITA) – Professional photographer, winner of the Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award 2025
- Marzio Perrelli (ITA) – CEO, The America's Cup
- Anna Schroeder (GER) – Marketing Director, Pantaenius Group
- Mark Henley (GBR) – Professional photographer
- Victoria Low (GBR) – CEO, The Magenta Project
- Kurt Arrigo (MLT) – Professional photographer
- Natalie Fortier (USA) – Global Communications, SailGP
Bringing together internationally recognised photographers alongside leading figures from the sailing industry, the jury will have the difficult task of selecting the most outstanding sailing photograph of the year.
The competition is open to professional photographers worldwide. Eligible images must have been taken between 13 October 2025 and 12 October 2026 and may be submitted until 12 October 2026 at 23:59 CEST (UTC+2).
Following the jury's deliberations, the 80 shortlisted photographs will be published on the event website on 20 October, when public voting for the Public Award will also open. Voting will close on 14 November.
The 20 highest-ranked images selected by the jury will be displayed at the Metstrade Theatre in Amsterdam from 17 to 19 November, before the winners are revealed during the Yacht Racing Forum on 20 November.
Two awards will be presented, each accompanied by prize money:
Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award – Chosen by the international jury:
- 1st place: €1,500
- 2nd place: €750
- 3rd place: €250
Public Award – Determined by online voting:
- Winner: €500
The Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award 2026 is open. Photographers have until October 12 to submit their entries via the official competition website.
