Yacht racing, especially classic yachts, has been my favorite thing to photograph for as long as I can remember. The timeless beauty of stitched white sails, varnished spars, and teak decks atop a deep blue sea is among the prettiest combinations I can think of. The challenge of photographing them in the perfect conditions from the best perspective is one I accept repeatedly around the world, never quite satisfied that I've gotten what I came for. It is also a great joy to be a part of the sailing community through photography while getting the privilege to occasionally be on board these majestic beauties with some of the friendliest and most skilled sailors around.
