Stephen Cloutier is a Newport, Rhode Island–based photographer whose passion for the sport began growing up on Narragansett Bay, where he sailed with his father. He began his career covering professional sports across the United States in the late 1980s before turning his focus to yacht racing photography. For more than 25 years, Stephen has documented yacht racing around the world, photographing regattas in Newport, across the United States, and in Europe. During the winter months, he turns his lens to winter sports, covering collegiate and professional alpine and freestyle skiing events throughout North America and Europe.
