Channel - Between PortLand & Cowes

I followed the Richard Mille Cup from Falmouth, alone on my little 8m zeppelin at dusk. With the crossing from Brest, it was already quite a maritime and photographic adventure on such a small boat. The "Richard Mille Cup" was already well underway and we were on the race section between Portland and the Isle of Wight. The sun was setting and the light was very soft at that very moment. It was a fantastic sight, so unique that it was hard to concentrate on the photographs! Moonbeam IV and Mariquita were side by side, like sisters of the sea. Of course, they kept a close eye on their rivals (Lady Anne, Mariette, Adix, Tuiga...). I decided to step back and shoot with my 800mm. A small denatured swell stands between me and the boats (or should I say "Work of art"!). The light is beautiful, in fact very rare. Perfectly side-on. I couldn't have wished for a better photo studio! The camera does the rest. To my great delight, a beautiful image of the sea is born... It's getting dark, time to head for Cowes, alone at the helm of Sweetie VII!
