Félix González Muñiz has worked as a professional photographer for 30 years, especially as a nautical photographer, linked and committed with the sea and its environment. He has a very broad curriculum related to marine issues. As a contributor to specialized magazines in the nautical world, he has photographed most of the Cantabrian and Atlantic coastlines, as well as its ports, beaches, etc. He has covered the main sailing races on the national nautical scene: "Copa del Rey" in Palma de Mallorca, "Príncipe de Asturias" in Bailona (Galicia), or the "El Gaitero", starting in Getxo,with a mid-stop in Santander and ending in Gijón. His international career, began in Southampton in 1989, during the prestigious “Whitbread Round the World Race”. Felix has been present in one of the most outstanding events of international ocean sailing such as the “Vendée Globe”, a solo non-stop around the world, departing from the French city of Les Sables d'Olonne. Nautical clubs, sailing federations, national and international nautical projects have counted on his work, being the official photographer of races and nautical events on countless occasions. His work has been awarded with numerous prizes and distinctions in national photography competitions, forming part of collections, both public and private. He has made several photographic exhibitions with the sea as the main character.
