Biography

A maritime photographer, Ewan is a great lover of water sports and the elements. Over the last few years, he has seen his passion for photography grow within this iodized universe, trying out different stylistic exercises until he found his own. A lover of the maritime world in all its forms, the photographer has immortalized in his viewfinder a wide range of images of the sea, from the mythical frigate Hermione to the acrobatic figures of Breton windsurfers, not forgetting the "mastodons" of the French Navy, such as the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle and the nuclear submarines at Île Longue. Today, renowned for his aesthetic fiber and his graphic approach, he has come close to realizing his dream with the publication of his fifth photographic work, "Carènes - Acte II", retracing seven years of passion and encounters along the water. Over the past seven years, he has exhibited his work in a number of traveling exhibitions (Choses Maritimes, Terre de glisse, Titans des Mers...), in 2017 aboard the Queen Mary 2, for a transatlantic exhibition between St Nazaire and New York. This was his first opportunity to take part in an auction orchestrated by Drouot; an experience he repeated the following year in the hushed salons of the Quai d'Orsay... For the past three years, he has been exhibiting in art galleries between La Baule, L'île de Ré, Dinard... Selected and exhibited at the 45th Salon de la Marine in 2021, he had been nurturing a dream for almost ten years, that of belonging to the ancient and prestigious corps of official French Navy painters. This dream became reality on September 1, 2021, with the decree signed by the Minister of the Armed Forces. For the past 4 years, he has been exhibiting in art galleries on a permanent basis (La Baule, Ré, Dinard...). In 2023, he will publish the book "Neptune" on the world of combat swimmers, and will continue to hold exhibitions in Roscoff, Saint Tropez, Paris...
